Privacy Policy

1. Who is the data controller
[LEGAL ENTITY], a sole proprietorship registered in Poland, [ADDRESS], tax ID (NIP) [NIP], is the controller of personal data described in this policy. Contact: hello@tackleit.app.
2. Your files never leave your device
The core promise of TackleIt is that all document processing - editing, OCR, redaction, encryption, merging and export - happens locally on your computer. We have no servers that receive, store or see your files. You do not need an account to use the apps.
3. What we do (and do not) collect
- App usage: none. The apps do not send telemetry, usage statistics or your file contents to us.
- Website: the Site is served by our hosting provider (Cloudflare), which may process technical connection data (such as IP address) in server logs to deliver and secure the Site. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
- Purchases: when you buy a paid license, the transaction is handled by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle. Paddle collects the data needed to process the sale (for example name, email address, billing and payment details, and any company/VAT details you enter). See Paddle's Privacy Notice. We receive your email address and license tier so we can issue your license key.
- License activation: license keys are stored locally on your device. Activation is verified offline - the app does not phone home to check your license. After a purchase you may retrieve your key from a one-time confirmation page.
- Support: if you email us, we process the contents of your message and your email address to reply and provide support.
4. Why we process this data (legal bases)
Under the GDPR we rely on: performance of a contract (issuing and supporting your license); our legitimate interests (securing and operating the Site, answering support requests); and, where required, your consent. Paddle acts as an independent controller for the payment relationship.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate: Paddle (payments/invoicing) and Cloudflare (hosting). Each acts under its own terms and applicable data protection agreements.
6. International transfers
Some providers (such as Paddle and Cloudflare) may process data outside Poland or the EEA. Where that happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Retention
We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to provide support and to meet legal and tax obligations. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.
8. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@tackleit.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority - in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl).
9. Children
The apps are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with the "Last updated" date above.
